Spiritual Life Teams

The Spiritual Life Team is a lay leadership program designed to share experiences of God and take them into the world so that everyone can hear. Spiritual Life Teams remove divisive religious differences by focusing on real life experiences, not theology. Spiritual Life Teams are universally open to everyone regardless of faith connection. They are action oriented, not contemplative.

The Spiritual Life Team program is a proven, effective way to introduce this transforming activity in the church. It is a way of sharing God speaking through our experiences. It is as new as our study and as old as Pentecost.

The Spiritual Life Team is different from other group programs in the church because it is based on individual spiritual experiences. This program is particularly important to reach the increasing number of people who are looking for spirit in their lives outside of the church.

There are four phases to the program:

Learning to talk of their experiences of God and pray out loud with others.
Sharing these experiences with the congregation and encouraging the congregation to share their experiences with each other.
Moving into the sacred and secular commuity to share experiences and find spirit based solutions to community needs.
Closing their spiritual life team and helping to start a new one.

This program moves from experience in the spirit to action in the world.
